That's definitely headed in the wrong direction for a recovery.

When CFC lists houses with the Shill Auction Houses, the REO inventory is not listed here. My guess is the auctions are not selling the houses like they did 6 months ago, so much of the inventory is coming back to the bank to sell the old fashioned way.....listing it with a Used House Salesperson (tm).

The auction houses just had big June events, so the returned, unsold inventory is showing up here now.

I'd forget about looking for a recovery - the only thing to hope for is finding a bottom as we are still in a free fall phase.

yes, finally the data seems to be correct again. CFC sure neglected the data gathering there for a few months.

Data migh be correct but I agree with others reading from the point of view that such is the wrong direction.

Funny, BofA comes out and tells the world it will close the deal, likely July 1 and suddenly the REO inventory for CFC jumps back up. Funny how that works....

Dimitris,

How did you get these numbers? Did you go on the countrywide site and manually compile them?

So much for the number of foreclosures actually going down..... Atleast the average price is coming down in the Majors California and Florida...
